Volunteering to support London 2020 is a great way to meet more people & participate in the hobby As with many philatelic shows, London 2020 is being organised & managed by volunteers. To make the show a success, the organising committee are reaching out to the philatelic community and inviting them to help make the exhibits run smoothly. Below is a snap shot of jobs & to register to be a volunteer click here Bin Room. Help is needed on Friday 1 May, Tuesday 5 May, Saturday 9 May, Sunday 10 May. Volunteers in this role will check in/out exhibits from the commissioners, and control the material being passed to the mounting teams. Mounting Team. Dates active: Friday 1 May, Tuesday 5 May, Saturday 9 May. The exhibits are passed out from the bin room and physically mounted and secured in the frames. On the afternoon/evening of Tuesday 5 May a huge effort is required by the volunteers to swap the first and second halves of the exhibition. Admin Team. This is a varied team that needs help every day that the show is open. Volunteers will look after the enquiry desk, sell programmes, ensure that the hired meeting rooms are ready for use by societies to use, IT support, financial controls etc.

I was on the mounting teams for the exhibitions in 2010 and 2015, and so I would like to volunteer to do the same job in 2020.
