The Philatelic Traders’ Society are delighted to announce that they will be supporting the Stamp Bureau initiative in 2019 to help raise money for Macmillan cancer support. The initiative founded in 2013 by an avid collector Spencer Weiner has been a huge success to date raising thousands of pounds. Spencer set up the initiative; as he wanted to give something back to Macmillan, after the charity helped support his Mother & Sister when they both suffered from cancer.
The Philatelic Traders’ Society is set to increase awareness. They will be launching ‘Donate a Stamp’ to get as many people as possible to donate stamps to the Stamp Bureau for Macmillan throughout 2019. The society host a biannual show in central London to celebrate the hobby, Stampex International and this will be intrinsic to driving awareness. “We are delighted to be supporting the Stamp Bureau to raise money for Macmillan and look forward to working with them in 2019 and raising money for such an important cause. There are so many people who have collections in their attics that are unwanted or unloved and we want to encourage more and more people to donate them to a good cause.” Rick Warren, Chairman, The Philatelic Traders’ Society It couldn’t be simpler to get involved. All you need to do is send your unwanted stamps to the address below: Stamp Bureau in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support PO Box 469 Leeds LS17 1HX
