The philatelic team at The Postal Museum invites attendees of London 2020 International Stamp Exhibition to an exclusive behind-the-scenes curator-led tour of their vaults.

Each tour will include a visit to the museum’s high security vault for an insight into the philatelic collections, allowing unprecedented access to some of the rarest and most sought-after treasures of GB philately including the Penny Black.
A conservator will meet attendees and demonstrate how our stamps are treated and preserved using specialist techniques. The tour will also include a visit to the digitisation studio to look at some state-of-the-art methods used to digitise the philatelic collections.

Ticket holders will be given the opportunity to be one of the first members of the public to visit The Postal Museum’s new temporary exhibition ‘Wish you Were Here: 150 Years of the British Postcard’ which launches on 1 May 2020.
