Back for her seventh Stampex, you’ll find Suzanne at Art Stamped on Stand 18 this week.

As a proud lifetime member of the Royal Philatelic Society London and now, Chairman of the Philatelic Traders’Society, Suzanne is passionate about promoting stamp collecting to new audiences by putting stamps on show and into people’s lives. How? With stamp art, crafts, greetings cards, gifts and homewares, all made from postage stamps!

“It’s like the gift shop at the end of an exhibition. Means I can get something for the wife and grandkids.”

Taking inspiration from the stamp topic to make a Highland Cow from highland cow stamps, the colours to make red wine, the country to make a map, there are endless opportunities to stamp art. The details, history and journey of the stamps make you want to step up close. It’s possible you’ll discover something new each time you look.

As well as supplies to “make your own”and ephemera, postcards and postal history to add to scrapbook and journals, Suzanne also features a select number of stamp artists on the Art Stamped stand, each one bringing their passion for stamps to life in a creative way. This Autumn, you’ll discover:

  • Tonia Jillings. Each of Tonia’s pieces is hand-painted and unique. From greetings cards to medium sized artwork, discover beyond the stand window.

  • MiniPrintVintage.Nessa from MiniPrintVintage brings genuine postage stamps to every day life, with quality jewellery, coasters, money clips, bookmarks and other gifts. What do you buy a philatelist who has everything? Stamp cufflinks or a necklace of course.

  • Tangle Crafts.Whilst technology captures our every day, Su at TangleCrafts uses stamps to take us back to the simple pleasures of journaling, card writing and letter writing. With her notebooks, writing paper, rulers made with real postage stamps as well as a mug for your cuppa, you’ll still be able to get lost in the beauty and story telling of the postage stamps in her collages.

  • Penny Stamp Artist.New this Autumn, Art Stamped is delighted to introduce a new featured artist to the Stand 18. Penny has collected stamps since childhood, taking some of her hobby out of the album and onto the wall. Explore these iconic designs up close with each stamp telling a story of its own.

So, whether you are shopping for an extra little philatelic treat, you want to get ahead of your Christmas shopping, or you are in need or a present or surprise for a loved one, add Stand 18 and an Art Stamped visit to your Stampex experience.
